WOMEN'S DAY FOR JUST NAMESAKE!

 GENDER DISCRIMINATION :  THE WRONG APPROACH !

Since the existence of human being itself, discrimination & criticism has been a part and parcel of our life.But  to understand the gender based discrimination we have to know the theology of stereotyping along with similar term called as generalization in  a deeper perspective. We all know that the acceptance of an issue is the first step to finding a solution.

But,what if the solution itself with which we are approaching the issue is a wrong one.When we talk about finding a solution to gender discrimination ,we tend to take an women concentric approach,like educating,empowering,economic in dependency etc.,The fact of the matter is we forget the cause of discrimination itself,we deliberately forget that since ages  the  opposite gender has been the perpetrator ,the causal breeder of this social black-mark .Instead of fighting the enemy in the battlefield ,here we have been just dreaming of killing them.

Having long term vision is good, but what about  short term solutions that are essential to reach that vision.The change in social outlook and the mentality of men has to happen who are majorly  influenced by the pseudo- perception of  society only,which has been acting as a deterrence to  their mental evolution.

The core  issue begins in the mind of the man itself,the way they see a women is the only cause of  discrimination.How anyone in this world respect a non living thing when compared to a living being.Is it possible?No,it does not seems to be happening.The man has always seen a women as a commodity ,as a non living thing only.They tend to ignore it several times,but their action proves this fact on different situations like  be it sathi pratha,marital rape,sexual abuse,dowry,genital mutilation,acid attack etc.

All these acts echoes far reach  similar to the understanding of men about women,that they see them as a non-living thing at large,something that cannot feel ,that does not have emotion,that cannot walk ,actually its not  cannot but it is should not walk ,according to them.Now when we know the right cause  of an issue after the right diagnosis ,the approach should be men concentric too.Women concentric approach acts just as an cosmetic treatment that has to wither off as time passes by, it simply acts as a temporary solution,not permanent one .This perception of men has been the reason for their illusionary superiority they experienced comparatively with their counterparts.

Generalizing anything has been in our bloods ,even we made Mr.Chair and Miss Table go through this same process,who were assigned specific functions only,where in reality both were capable of doing each other jobs perfectly when the situation demanded.Our human lifestyle also embraced such kind of generalization openly.Too much of criticism,stereotyping along with  immoral approach has led to further deepning this crisis of gender discrimination at a global level.

Laws and regulation does not seem apt as as a right weapon  to fight this issue, as suppression of deep bred mentality of men will not dramatically change because of this.The noble and moral way is eradicating the root cause of the issue itself which begins  and ends with how a society teaches and makes them learn, understand from the beginning  itself .Men should stop seeing women as  a commodity first,they are not too ,but they are human beings,They don’t need anybody’s sympathy,but actually they demand and command equality along with adequate equity  as that is their existential right.

So,The Society should think of Saving their Boys ,not Girls,because if we save them,we automatically Save Our Girls.Also,Men should stand for women and vice-versa,it should no be against each other ,but It should be for each other, HEforSHE & SHEforHE can  be the only cure to this social disease.
